Had a lovely restful night in The Sligo Park Hotel, they made me feel so welcome and looked after me so well.
I left the hotel at 10am and was joined by some runners from Sligo and Ballisodare, Anna McGowan was also joining today for the run, but little did we know the weather which we were going to get.
We had snow, sleet & hailstones for nearly the whole run, at times I felt like giving in, but with the crew (Carmel, Catriona, Mary) I had running with me, there was no way that I was going to let that happen.
We were treated to a lovely lunch in Collery’s and had some gorgeous scones made by Cathyrn and soup from Nessa.
We had a lovely welcome from the kids of Carraroe NS and I received a lovely South Sligo Athletic CLub jersey along with a donation from Helena Finn & Anthony Walsh.
Today’s running wasn’t too bad based on the horrific weather we had, we left at 10am from Sligo and completed 18.91 miles.
Thanks again to everybody who braved the weather today, happy to be finished and resting up now.
